THE FIRST NOTE
B Sharp Music is owned and operated by Nick and Melissa Bauer. Nick and Melissa first met in 2001 while playing in an originals band together. Their love and passion for music is what inspired them to establish B Sharp Music in 2004 offering private and group lessons in Piano, Singing, Guitar (Acoustic & Electric), Drums, Flute, Ukulele and Kindermusik classes for young children. Our professional teachers aim to provide various teaching approaches and styles for students of all ages and abilities. Some styles taught at B Sharp Music include "Pop", "Rock", "Blues/Jazz", "Contemporary" and "Classical". All students have the opportunity to prepare and sit for exams through the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), Rockschool and Trinity.
Cancellation Policy & Terms of Trade
The lesson times selected are reserved especially for you with our professional tutors. As we are busy, lesson times are precious. Lessons are a term by term commitment, and can only be cancelled at the end of each term. 2 weeks notice by either email or text is required to cancel lessons. We do not credit or refund missed lessons. If you arrive late, your lesson will still finish at the allotted time, while the lesson fee remains the same. Please respect our time, and if you need to cancel, cancellations must be made by 10am on the day of your lesson (Monday to Friday). However, if your lesson falls on a Saturday, cancellations must be made by 5pm Friday. A makeup lesson will then be organized at a time that suits. Cancellations can be made by phone or text (Text is preferred). By enrolling in lessons with us you agree with the above terms of trade.

Frequently asked questions
How Do You Invoice?
When you enrol you will be invoiced for the remainder of the term and on a term to term basis thereafter. To cancel the following term , we do require 2 weeks notice at the end of term.
We can make payment arrangements for families to break up the payments throughout the term.

Makeup lessons?
We are more then happy to offer you a makeup lesson if you cancel before 10am on the day of your lesson (Mon-Fri) and before 5pm Friday for Saturday lessons. We can offer up to two make up lessons for you per term. Of course, if there is an emergency situation we would love to chat to you about how we can support you.

Group lessons?
We do offer group lessons for Guitar only. If you would like to start a group, bring along a friend for a free trial lesson.

What age can we start piano/singing?
We offer piano/singing lessons as young as 4yrs old. We suggest a 20 minute lesson at this age moving to a 30 minute lesson at age 5.

Can anyone learn an instrument?
Yes, definatley yes!!! It just comes down to committing to practice each week.
